Paul "Dan" Clifford was born and raised in Braintree.  He goes by Dan.  He is the oldest boy, and second oldest of  eight children of Paul and Margaret Clifford.  His brothers and sisters are, Peggy Paradi of New York, twin sisters Maureen and Kathleen.  Kevin Clifford of Florida, Tommy Clifford of Virginia, Timmy Clifford of Blackstone, MA.  and Elaine in Bourne, MA.

Grew up in East Braintree, on Arborway Drive, where his childhood was mostly spent playing sports at Watson park, and swimming at old Swifts Beach. 

Education:

Dan went to Braintree schools, and received an excellent education.  "I attend the Watson Elementary School, East Jr. High (now East Middle school), and the old Braintree High school, now a condo complex on Washington Street."  

Following graduation, on to General Dynamics shipyard for summer work.  Then the U.S. Army, and on to Roger Williams University, in Rhode Island, where he graduated with a BS in Industrial Technology.

Career:

His career has been spent in the high tech industry with a number of Fortune 300 companies.  EMC, Sun MicroSystems, Inc.,  Honeywell and Data General Corporation.  

As Director of Field Operations, "I managed a $70 million dollar Support and Services business with full profit and loss responsibility.  Major clients included The Federal Reserve Bank,  Bloomberg News and Financial, Merrill Lynch, Atlantic Records and Christies Auction House all in New York City. " 

Dan was named "Director of the Year " 2 years in a row for outstanding balanced performance (Financial, Customer Satisfaction and Operations). 

Family:

Married to Colette A. Clifford.  Her maiden name Walsh.  Colette was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. 

"We raised five  children here in Braintree.  Karen Green Walorz, Marci Ruffini, Sean Clifford, Colleen Clifford and our youngest, Ryan Clifford. "

"We are also blessed with five grandchildren, who we really enjoy."
